Accessibility at the station

There is accessible entry to the station hall. The platforms are accessible through a tunnel at the eastern end of the station building. An elevator is available and the route is indicated with disabled signs.

Assistance service at the station

The assistance point is located indoors in the Travel Centre (address: Puutarhakatu 3), next to the external doors of the bus station. There are seats by the assistance point and the space is shared with bus passengers.

To book assistance service, call VR customer service for accessible travel at 0800 188 822 (free of charge, service hours Mon–Fri 5am–10pm, Sat–Sun 7am–10pm) no later than 24 hours before your departure.

The most famous of Savonia landmarks is only few kilometres away from the station. After a steep climb the view over the lake-filled landscape is something to remember, especially as the viewing tower spins slowly around for a 360-degree view.
