Effects of the storm Jari to train traffic

Storm Jari and severe weather conditions have caused track system disruptions as well as disruptions to train services overnight and during the day across the country. In addition, a brief network disruption on Thursday afternoon has caused additional delays to some train services.

The effects of the exceptional situation may be felt in passenger traffic until the weekend. Due to the weather conditions, we ask passengers to be prepared for delays, possible cancellations and substituting bus services. The current traffic situation can be followed at the On Track section here as well as in the VR Matkalla app.

If your train was delayed by more than 60 minutes or cancelled altogether, you can find out about your rights and claim compensation for your journey at vr.fi/en/compensation.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused to our passengers due to the weather conditions.
