Privacy settings in the VR Matkalla app
We value your safety
Use and management of tracking technologies
The mobile application uses various tracking technologies and data collection methods, such as local storage and unique identifiers, to collect information about how the application is used. These methods do not harm your device and cannot be used to distribute malware. By accepting all tracking technologies, you ensure the best possible user experience in the application. You can change your settings at any time in the application’s privacy settings. You can also clear stored data from your device settings.
What data is collected and how it is used
Using tracking technologies, we collect information about how and when the application is used. This information allows us, for example, to remember your language preferences, assist in resolving error situations, and provide you with relevant content. We collect information such as the source from which the user accessed the application, which features have been used, and the device, operating system, and application version used. We also collect statistical location data at city level based on an anonymised IP address. This information is not shared with third parties.
We also use tracking technologies to analyse application usage, develop our services, and measure the effectiveness of advertising. For example, we may track how many times a marketing message has been opened and whether the user has taken action as a result, such as opening the application or making a purchase. We may include tracking codes in messages to measure their performance. To improve usability, we may also conduct studies in which information about user interactions within the application, such as taps and scrolling, is recorded.
Data linking and user profiles
We cannot identify you personally solely on the basis of these technologies. If you are logged in to the application and have allowed content personalisation and data combination, we may create a customer profile and combine data collected from application usage with other information about you, such as travel data or previous purchases.
If you are our customer, we use a unique technical identifier in our services. This identifier cannot be used on its own to identify you as an individual, but it allows the use of the service to be linked to your customer account and to the service’s functionalities. If you have made a purchase in the application and have allowed content personalisation and data combination, we may link your usage data with previously provided contact information and purchase transactions to create a so-called usage profile. This information is used statistically to develop our services. We may also combine usage-related data with survey responses, in which case this will always be stated at the beginning of the survey.
By combining data, we aim to provide you with better services, content, and advertising, as well as a smoother user experience in the application.
Even if you do not consent to analytics- or marketing-related tracking technologies, we may collect limited, anonymized statistical information about the use of the application. Such information is collected using technical measurement signals in a way that does not allow you to be identified directly or indirectly, nor can the data be linked to you as an individual user.
