The new timetable period starts on 14 December – Changes to traffic
As a result of the new timetable period, the number of train services has been expanded and the following new services will start on 14 December. You will find more information in this news article.
Helsinki–Kuopio:
A train service from Helsinki to Kuopio via Kouvola has been added for Fridays and Sundays at 9:30 a.m. and Saturdays at 3:24 p.m. In addition, a train service running from Friday to Sunday at 1 p.m. has been added from Kuopio to Helsinki via Kouvola.
A train service from Helsinki to Kuopio via Tampere has been added for Saturdays at 12:00 noon.
A train service from Kuopio to Helsinki via Tampere at 10:06 a.m. has been added for Sundays.
Helsinki–Pieksämäki:
We have added a train service from Tampere to Pieksämäki running from Friday to Sunday at 8:00 a.m. and from Pieksämäki to Helsinki at 1:55 p.m.
Joensuu–Helsinki:
A new morning train from Helsinki to Joensuu has been added for Friday at 8:30 a.m. In addition, a new service runs from Friday to Sunday from Helsinki to Joensuu at 12:14 p.m.
There is a new service from Joensuu to Helsinki on Fridays and Sundays at 1:31 p.m. The service used to run from Lappeenranta. A service from Joensuu to Helsinki at 10:15 a.m. has been added for Monday and Saturday.
Turku–Oulu:
A train service from Turku to Oulu at 11:05 a.m has been added for Sundays.
Oulu–Seinäjoki–Helsinki:
The service from Oulu to Seinäjoki has been supplemented by a Sunday train service at 11:55 a.m. There is a connection from Seinäjoki which offers routes to the south from minor stations. In addition, a service has been added for Sundays from Oulu to Helsinki at 6:17 p.m., also serving minor stations north of Seinäjoki.
Helsinki–Rovaniemi:
A route from Helsinki to Rovaniemi has been added for Sunday morning at 6:20 a.m.
Pendolino Plus Helsinki–Oulu:
The new Pendolino Plus train will start services from Helsinki to Oulu from Monday to Friday and on Sundays at 2:54 p.m. and from Oulu to Helsinki from Monday to Saturday at 4:32 a.m.
