We are preparing for storm Ulla

Heavy rainfall and exceptionally strong gusty winds brought by Storm Ulla are forecast for Friday, July 4th, in the southern and central parts of the country. We are closely monitoring the situation and preparing in advance for potential disruptions to train traffic.

You can follow the status of train traffic and your train on the On track site and in the VR Matkalla app. We recommend allowing journey-related notifications in the app settings so you’ll receive real-time updates about your train via push notifications.

The opening of sales for car spaces on trains to and from Kemijärvi was delayed because the weight limits of the car-carrier wagons used on the route required changes to our sales channels. The necessary updates have now been completed, and we can now open bookings for car spaces.
