The strike by commuter train conductors will not affect train services

JHL has announced a two-day strike by commuter train conductors starting on Thursday, 8 May. The strike will not affect VR or HSL train services, and all trains will run according to schedule.

Conductor strike from Thursday 8 May 00:01 to Friday 9 May 23:59. The conductor strike will begin at 00:01 on Thursday 8 May and end at 23:59 on Friday 9 May. It affects all shifts starting during this time.

The strike will not affect VR or HSL train services. All commuter train services will operate according to schedule. If needed, some commuter trains may operate with reduced rolling stock. The strike does not concern long-distance trains, which will run normally according to schedule.

Since 2017, a rotating conductor model has been used in commuter traffic, so not all commuter trains normally have a conductor on board. If necessary, additional security personnel will be added to commuter train services during the strike.

VR's commuter train services include trains marked with letters D, G, H, M, O, R, T and Z.
