Night train tickets for Christmas and early spring released on Thu 28 May

We are releasing tickets for night trains for Christmas and early spring for the period 13 Dec 2026 - 25 April 2027.

The season includes Christmas, New Year, the winter holiday season as well as Easter.

We are now opening ticket sales for sleeper cabins and car spaces for trains to Rovaniemi and Kolari. Ticket sales for car trains to Oulu and Kemijärvi will open at a later date, partly due to the renovation schedule for the car train loading area in Oulu. We will provide separate updates on the schedule for the start of those sales.

Day train tickets are currently available for purchase until 12 Dec 2026, and commuter train tickets until 9 August.

VAT reduction for public transport will be directly reflected in train ticket prices starting 1 Jan

Parliament is supporting public transport by temporarily changing the value added tax from 10 per cent to zero between 1 January and 30 April 2023. We are passing the VAT reduction directly to the ticket prices. In January–April, train tickets can be bought tax-free as far into the future as tickets are available at any given time.
