Tea/coffee station always open

The price of the Ekstra Plus ticket includes coffee, tea, hot chocolate, water and a small sweet from the tea/coffee station.

No passage through

Ekstra Plus is located at one end of the Pendolino Plus train, so there is no passage through the carriage.

Personal service

The Ekstra Plus service attendant will be there to help you throughout your journey. You can also buy a meal in advance, which will be delivered to your seat during the trip.

Single seat

With an Ekstra Plus single seat, you can travel in peace and quiet without anyone sitting next to you. Select a single seat when purchasing a ticket or afterwards.

6-person Ekstra cabinet

In the 6-person Ekstra-compartment of the Pendolino Plus train, you can enjoy Ekstra Plus services. It is perfect for holding a work meeting or for a relaxed trip with your companions, for example. Book the compartment when purchasing a ticket or afterwards.

Information about meals

Order in advance the main course of your choice from our seasonally changing menu, or choose the all‑day brunch package that tastes great from morning to evening.
The pre-ordered meal includes the main course of your choice, 0.35 l bottle of Finnish spring water and a delicious cookie.
The all‑day brunch includes your chosen sandwich, orange juice, natural yogurt with berry muesli, and a cookie.
In Ekstra Plus, other drinks and small snacks are also on available. The carriage is licensed to serve alcoholic drinks. Ask your Ekstra Plus service attendant for today's selection.
The price of the meal or brunch is €14.90.

Instructions for ordering a meal and meal delivery

You can buy a meal in advance either when purchasing a train ticket or afterwards at vr.fi. However, please place your order no later than 2 days before the start of the trip. The meal can be selected from a special menu that changes from season to season.
The meal will be served to your seat during the trip. The Ekstra Plus service organiser will be happy to help you with any questions related to the delivery of your meal.
