Put your travel money to use!

To a Veturi member, every journey brings benefits – congratulations for the earned travel vouchers and thank you for using your Veturi IDs. Information about travel vouchers earned will be distributed in email by 31 January 2017 to Veturi members whose purchases have collected enough earnings during the collection period, October–December 2016. In the same message, members will receive instructions on how to use the voucher. If you are unsure whether the email address you have reported to Veturi is correct, log in and check your own information no later than 31 December 2016. This way you can ensure that the message goes to the right address.

After you get the message, you can find your travel voucher online in the My tickets section after you log into Veturi. It can also be seen in the Online Shop when your booking has proceeded to payment. The travel voucher can only be used once.*

Using travel vouchers

You can use a travel voucher when paying for a train ticket for domestic travel from the Online Shop, ticket offices or by phone via Customer Service tel. 0600 41 900 (charge per answered call EUR 1.99 + local network charge) in accordance with each purchase location’s (saleable) ticket selection. Travel vouchers cannot be used on the beta.vr.fi website or VR Commuter mobile app. HSL or Train+Bus tickets cannot be purchased with travel vouchers.

In the Online Shop

Log in, choose your ticket and proceed to choose the delivery method and payment for the ticket. You will see your travel voucher in the section Select method of payment and can choose your preferred options for paying the ticket with a travel voucher.

At the station or by phone

Start your train ticket purchase by announcing that you are a Veturi member and have a travel voucher. The Customer Service advisor will apply the travel voucher the way you wish it to be used.

Important to remember

The travel voucher is personal and you are always required to log in as a Veturi customer to use it. Your travel voucher is valid until 31 March 2017.

The voucher is not exchangeable for cash, and no refund will be given. The total worth of the travel voucher must be used in one go. You can pay part of your train ticket or the whole ticket with the travel voucher. A ticket purchased using a travel voucher can be changed or cancelled if the ticket terms allow it. If a ticket purchased using a travel voucher is cancelled, the part paid with the travel voucher will be refunded in cash (refunds only at station ticket offices). If the value of a single purchase made using the travel voucher is less than the value of the customer’s travel voucher, the unused part will not be refunded in cash or as a new travel voucher. No compensation will be paid for a travel voucher that has not been collected.

*TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE VETURI TRAVEL VOUCHER CAMPAIGN

Autumn 2016

Buy your train tickets using your Veturi User ID and earn a VR travel voucher worth EUR 10, 25 or 40 to pay for your future train journeys. The accrual period is 20 October – 26 December 2016. Remember to update your email address and other Veturi information by 31 December 2016, so that you’ll get the right details for travel vouchers you may have earned as well as instructions for use.

What increases the purchase total?

Purchases that increase the total which entitles you to a voucher include domestic train tickets (excluding HSL tickets) and the additional services bought for them (e.g. cancellation insurance), as well as tickets for trains between Finland and Russia that the customer has bought while logged in during the accrual period with a personal Veturi User ID. Cancelling train tickets bought during the accrual period reduces the accrued total of purchases.

The accrual period is 20 October – 26 December 2016. The purchase must be completed using your Veturi User ID. Please note that the purchase transaction cannot be entered later by re-using the User ID. While logged in, you can buy train tickets from the VR Online Shop, VR Mobile, station ticket offices, ticket machines, any R-Kiosk, or by phone from VR Customer Care.

The customer will receive one travel voucher, the value of which is determined by the purchases made during the accrual period. If the total value of purchases during the accrual period is EUR 200.00–499.99, the customer will receive a travel voucher to the value of EUR 10. If the total value of purchases during the accrual period is EUR 500.00–799.99, the customer will receive a travel voucher to the value of EUR 25. If the total value of purchases during the accrual period is at least EUR 800.00, the customer will receive a travel voucher to the value of EUR 40.

Qualifying Veturi customers will be notified about the travel vouchers they have earned via the email address information they have provided by 31 January 2017, and instructions for using the vouchers are included in the same message. Customers must update their email addresses on Veturi by 31 December 2016 in order to have the vouchers sent to their updated addresses. VR does not accept responsibility for emails that cannot be delivered.
