Commuter train stations and region map

The commuter services area is divided into the HSL area and the VR commuter services area. VR’s commuter traffic trains run from Helsinki in the direction of Lahti and Tampere. On this page, you can find the commuter traffic route map that shows all stations in the entire area and how the area is divided.

Commuter train station region map starting 1.1.2018

On 1 January 2018, Tuusula and Siuntio will join the HSL area, which means that passengers to Siuntio and to Tuusula’s Jokela station use an HSL ticket.

The Järvenpää area belongs to the VR commuter services area, but is located in the middle of the HSL area. Travelling will be as smooth as before: starting from 1 January 2018, you can travel between stations in Järvenpää and in the HSL area with both HSL and VR train tickets. This applies to the Haarajoki, Saunakallio, Ainola and Järvenpää stations. However, please note that you need a VR commuter traffic ticket when you travel between stations in Järvenpää and other stations in the VR commuter services area.
