Connections from Helsinki
Helsinki railway station has excellent possibilities to transfer between modes of transport.
A metro station and tram stops are located in the immediate vicinity of the station. Accessible entrance to the metro is via the entrance on the station square.
Local services bus stations are located on both sides of the railway station in addition to which a third bus terminal is located 500 metres away in Kamppi shopping centre. The long-distance bus terminal is also located in Kamppi.
The station ticket office is located in the south-west corner of the station. In addition to the ticket office there are a large number of ticket machines at the station and next to tracks 4-11.
Taxi ranks are located on both sides of the station.
HSL Route search
Connecting services on public transports of Vantaa and on the rest of the Helsinki region (Helsinki, Espoo and Kauniainen) are conveniently accessible in the HSL Route search. The service has all street addresses in the region and a wide range of other sites. In addition to public transport connections you can search for walking and biking routes.
Ring Rail Line is an easy connection to Helsinki-Vantaa Airport from all of Finland.The fastest travel time to the airport for flight passengers coming from the centre of Helsinki is about 30 minutes. They can travel to the airport via Huopalahti (32 minutes) or via Tikkurila (27 minutes) at ten-minute intervals.
The western entrance in Tietotie at Helsinki Airport was opened on 10 July. The distance by foot from the Tietotie entrance to Terminal 1 is around 350 meters and 700 meters to Terminal 2. The entrance directly into the terminals will be completed later in the autumn.
Connections to ports
From the station you can get to ports on foot and by taxi and on public transport. It is easiest to get to the ports in the centre of Helsinki by tram; Länsisatama, Olympiaterminaali and Katajannokka terminal. The port of Vuosaari is easiest to reach by metro and bus.
