SMS rail services updates
You can receive rail services updates to your mobile phone also without Internet access. Send an SMS to 13 121 to receive up-to-date traffic bulletins on long-distance and commuter services and trains to Russia and station or train specific live train updates on long-distance services and trains to Russia. The information is sent in 1-3 messages.
The service is accessible from Sonera, Elisa, DNA and Saunalahti telephone subscriptions. Each query costs € 0.25. The number of return messages does not affect query price.
1. Traffic bulletin query
Send an SMS message FIND INFO to 13 121. You then receive up-to-date traffic bulletins in 1-3 messages.
2. Live train updates query
E.g. To receive information on train no. IC 55 send an SMS message TRAIN 55 to 13 121 (Please note! Write only the train number without the letters denoting train type).
You then receive the train's arrival and departure times at stations in 1-3 messages. For Live train updates stations you get stopping times on the basis of realized or estimated departure and arrival times.
3. Live train updates by station query
E.g. To receive up-to-date departure and arrival times at Oulu station send an SMS message FIND OULU to 13 121.
You receive two messages with one listing departing and the other arriving trains. If the realized or estimated departure or arrival time differs from the timetable the new time is displayed to the right of the time marked in the timetable.
You can send a query for the following long-distance services Live train updates stations: Espoo, Haapamäki, Hanko, Helsinki, Hämeenlinna, Iisalmi, Imatra, Joensuu, Jyväskylä, Jämsä, Kajaani, Karjaa, Kemi, Kemijärvi, Kirkkonummi, Kokkola, Kolari, Kontiomäki, Kotka harbour, Kouvola, Kuopio, Lahti, Lappeenranta, Loimaa, Mikkeli, Nurmes, Oulu, Parikkala, Parkano, Pieksämäki, Pori, Riihimäki, Rovaniemi, Salo, Savonlinna, Seinäjoki, Tampere, Tikkurila, Toijala, Turku, Turku harbour, Vaasa, Vainikkala, Ylivieska.
