Multitickets
Multitickets ensure inexpensive and easy travels on a specified long-distance or commuter section of line. Multitickets are designed for less frequent travellers, as well, as they are valid over a period of 6 months. Multitickets are not personal; the ticket may be used by different persons simultaneously or separately.
Multitickets may be purchased in a VR station booking office and in a travel agency. A multiticket may also be booked via VR Customer Care and paid and picked up in an R-kiosk. Long-distance multitickets are also on sale in VR's Online shop.
No multitickets are supplied for HSL area trains.
Long-distance multitickets 10+1, 30 and 44
- There are three types of multitickets, for 10+1, 30 or 44 one-way journeys on a specified section of line.
- The multiticket may be used in either direction between the stations indicated in the ticket.
- 10+1 and 44 multitickets are available for Pendolino, InerCity, express and regional trains. The price of an express train multiticket is the same as that of a regional train multiticket. A 30 journey multiticket is valid for all train categories.
- A 44 journey multiticket ensures a 25% discount on the price of the journey.
- A 30 journey multiticket ensures a 15% discount on the price of an IC train ticket.
- A 10+1 multiticket offers 11 journeys at the price of 10 journeys.
- The validity of a multiticket is 6 months.
- A multiticket may be purchased for 2nd class, 1st class ot Business class travels.
- A multiticket may be used by different persons simultaneously or separately.
- Advance seat bookings are accepted in station booking offices and by telephone in the number indicated in the ticket.

Commuter services multitickets
- A 10 journey multiticket is valid two months and its price is that of 9 single tickets over the same connection.
- A 44 journey ticket is valid six months and its price is that of 44 single tickets deducted by 25%.
- The tickets shall be validated in the machine in the train vestibule when boarding the train.
- Multitickets may simultaneously be used by several persons.
- Multitickets entitle to the same changeovers as the corresponding single tickets.

Student multitickets
Students benefit from a 10+1 journey student multiticket for long-distance services and a 10 journey multiticket for commuter services.
- In ticket checking aboard the train, a student card entitling to a student discount shall be produced.
- The tickets are valid six months in long-distance services and 2 months in commuter services.
- The other travel conditions in vigour are identic with those applicable to the other 10+1 multitickets.
Senior citizen multitickets
Senior citizens and max 64 years old pensioners meeting the requisite conditions benefit from a 10+1 journey multiticket for long-distance services and a 10 journey multiticket for commuter services.
- When purchasing the multiticket and in ticket checking aboard the train, a card entitling to the discount price shall be produced.
- The tickets are valid six months in long-distance services and 2 months in commuter services.
- The other travel conditions in vigour are identic with those applicable to the other 10+1 multitickets.
Multitickets with seat booking
- A holder of a multiticket may book a corresponding seat in a station booking office or by telephone, 0307 20 990 (VR Customer Care) as indicated in the ticket. If you call VR Customer Care for seat booking, please write down the seat number in your ticket. Should you wish to book a seat in a train of a more expensive category, the conductor aboard the train will charge you a corresponding train commission.
- Advance seat booking is not mandatory though recommended.
