Family and junior tickets on long-distance journeys
- because with a family ticket a 6 to 16 years old child gets a seat ticket free of charge even with just one adult. The offer is valid for long-distance journeys and the adult must have a regular-price ticket.
- Children under the age of six may travel free of charge without a seat reservation. If parents wish to ensure a seat is available for their child, they have to buy a junior ticket for him.
- Normally children between the ages of 6 to 16 may travel with a junior ticket which is sold at a 50% reduction.Age to be certified upon request. Junior citizen's discount is also applicable to 10 journey multi-tickets.

- One-way ticket.
- 10 journey multi-ticket at the price of 9 corresponding one-way tickets.
- 30 days pass.
- Prices are rounded up to the next 10 cents.
Family ticket
- Personal one-way ticket.
- For min. three member family; one or two adults with children aged 6-16 yrs.
- One child as per adult travels free of charge.

Family and junior tickets may also be booked via VR Customer Care and paid and picked up in an R-kiosk or a ticket vending machine.
