Disabled passengers

Most stations have e.g. ramps to enable easy access for disabled passengers but unfortunately some stations cannot be accessed easily. Some booking offices at stations such as Jyväskylä and Hämeenlinna have a low sales counter to be more accessible to the disabled.

Internet ticket collection

Major stations have a queue number system at the booking office. Passengers who have bought their tickets via the Internet have separate queue numbers to avoid unnecessary queueing for tickets which have already been purchased.

International train tickets

You can purchase international train tickets at major railway stations. International tickets are not sold at all sales points so please check the sales locations and opening hours on the Station information page. Booking offices selling international tickets provide e.g. the following services.

  • train tickets for trains to Russia
  • train tickets for e.g. domestic services of European countries and international high-speed trains
  • international discount cards such as InterRail or RailPlus.

HSL area train tickets

You can purchase commuter services and HSL area train tickets at some commuter services stations in addition to Helsinki railway station. You can also buy HSL area tickets and load your travel card at many locations which are listed on HSL web site ».
