Find your departure track

When you start your journey you can check the train's departure track in the station-specific timetables. Departure tracks may, however, change due to special circumstances and you are advised to confirm the departure track from passenger information displays at the railway station. Occasional changes are communicated by public address systems at stations.

Platform displays and coach boarding sectors

The departure platforms of major stations are equipped with platform displays showing the train's departure time, train number, destination station, train composition and coach stopping location at the platform.

  • Check the coach number of your seat on the ticket
  • The platform display shows the sector at which you should wait for the train to find your seat as easily as possible
  • The sectors are marked with the letters A-E in signs with a blue background.

If the station does not have a platform display the information can be viewed on the timetable board diagram.
