It is possible to transport bicycles and skis in most long-distance trains and commuter trains.
From 26 June, the bicycle transport charge is 5 euros on long-distance trains instead of the earlier 9 euros.

In all InterCity trains:
InterCity train timetables are marked with a bicycle.There is a limited number of spaces for bicycles.A bicycle space must be booked in advance.Customers should bring the bicycle to the bicycle space in the double-decker wagon of InterCity trains where it is possible to lock the bicycle with a 50 cent coin. The coin is returned when the bicycle is removed from the bicycle stand after the journey.No tandem cycles or cycles with a cycle trailer. In day and night express trains which transport luggage and in some
regional trains:
Transport of bicycles in express and regional trains is possible in the trains marked with a suitcase in timetables. In these trains also tandem cycles and cycles with a cycle trailer can be transported. In express and regional trains customers should bring the bicycle to the conductor's van as with large luggage and collect it at the arrival station. Customers should transfer their bicycle to another train themselves when changing trains. Bicycles and skis in commuter traffic trains
- You can transport bicycles and skis free of charge on commuter trains in HSL area.
- In the zone area transport of bicycles is subject to a charge, see Bicycle transport fees.
- When travelling to Kirkkonummi or Kerava the charge is not collected when travelling with an HSL ticket.
- Bicycles may not be transported during rush-hours Mon-Fri 7.00-9.00 or 15.00-18.00.
- Kickbikes are equalled with bicycles.
- No tandem cycles or cycles with a cycle trailer.

Folding cycles on trains
Transport a folded cycle as hand luggage without a cycle fee in long-distance and commuter trains. If the folding cycle fits on the luggage rack please remember to use a plastic bag to prevent staining of other passengers' luggage. The biggest folding cycles do not, however, fit on the luggage rack or in the IC train luggage lockers.
- Pendolino There are large luggage lockers, one per car in the vestibule, where you can transport a folding cycle.
- InterCity Transport folding cycles in the service car's luggage locker or in the open lockers in car no. 5. Please note, that the lower locker is reserved for prams.
- Commuter trains Transport folding cycles in the vestibule.
Transporting skis in long-distance trains
Skis can be easily transported in trains. The storage location varies depending on the train type.
InterCity trains
- In InterCity trains skis can be transported conveniently in lockable storage spaces which are used to transport bicycles in the summer and skis in the winter. Ski storage spaces are located in the InterCity train service car.
- The storage space can hold five pairs of skis and two snowboards which can be locked to the wall with a mechanism operated by a 50 cent coin.
- Ski and snowboard storage space do not need to be booked in advance.

Night express trains
In the new sleeping-cars skis can be conveniently transported in the sleeping compartments.
- There is plenty of space under the bed for skis. In compartments located at the ends of the coach the skis can be attached to straps on the wall.
See the passenger car album. - The skis can also be transported in the luggage car located between the sleeping cars and the restaurant car by paying a luggage fee per ski bag.

In blue night express train sleeping-car coaches the best option is to transport the skis in the luggage car by paying a fee per ski bag.
Day express trains and blue regional trains
Day express trains and regional trains composed of blue coaches have a luggage car where you can transport skis.

- There is a fee for the ski transport in the luggage car.
- If there is enough space skis can also be transported in the passenger compartment and placed on the luggage rack.
Pendolino
In Pendolino trains skis can be transported as hand luggage if they do not cause nuisance to other passengers. Pendolino trains do not have specific transport space for skis.
Railcars
Railcars have a special space for oversize baggage such as skis. Skis can be transported in railcars free of charge. Railcars do not have specific racks for skis.
