School and pensioner groups
Groups travel inexpensively by train. In the environmentally friendly train you travel together in comfort. School and pensioner groups get a discount on train tickets. A group ticket may be a Basic ticket in the Eco Class or a Flexible ticket in Extra Class.School group tickets
A 50% school group discount is granted also to pupils who are 17 years old and to students conforming to student discount terms. Read more>>
At least one teacher must be part of the school group.
Pensioner group tickets
A 50% pensioner groups discount is granted to persons over the age of 65 for long-distance trains and those with a pensioner card approved by VR. See pensioner cards>>- The right to a discount must be proven when tickets are inspected.
- Buy pensioner group tickets from VR station ticket offices and sales agents.

| How to pay |
VR Customer Care: tickets are paid when booking.
Ticket offices and sales agents: ticket are paid 14 days from booking at the latest or when booking when the tickets are purchased 7-0 days before the train's departure date. |
| Validity | The ticket is valid on the date and train indicated on the ticket. |
| Changes and cancellations | Group tickets may be changed or cancelled 7 days before the departure of the train at the latest in a ticket office, the change fee is 10% and cancellation fee is 20% of the fare. If you have not yet paid the tickets or have paid it with a Credit/Debit card by phone to VR Customer Care, you can also cancel it by phone. |
