How to buy a CarTrain package online

How to buy

On VR Online Shop front page go to CarTrain package purchase by clicking on CarTrain packages on the page's upper left side. You can check out just the car-carrier train timetable or buy a CarTrain package after viewing the timetable and price information.

The CarTrain package includes car transport and a train ticket for the driver or a group and you can also choose whether you want to travel in a sleeping compartment or a seat.

Buying a CarTrain package is easy. See below how to buy your tickets. Check your car's details from your registration book from the field indicated by the photo. Kuva

• Choose a route. Select from the stations between which you can transport your car.
• When you select timetable and price search and ticket purchase the fields into which you can enter passenger information open. The information is needed to calculate the CarTrain package price.
• Enter the car's dimensions in the appropriate fields.

1. The car's maximum length is 505. Select the length from the drop-down menu. If your car is longer or you want to transport a trailer contact VR Customer Care.
2. Car height must be equal to or smaller than the height you selected from the drop-down menu.
3. The car's maximum width is 220.
4. Car weight must be equal to or smaller than the weight you selected from the drop-down menu.
5. Please state also whether you have a ski box etc. on the roof.
6. The screen shows the selected car-carrier routes for the chosen date and ticket prices. Select the route and enter the requested information in the appropriate fields. Choose whether you want to drive your car into the car-carrier wagon yourself or have VR do it for you.

• Select berth or seat tickets. If you travel on a seat you can select a seat by selecting seating preference from the drop-down menu and select a seat from the car layout. When travelling in a sleeping car select suitable berths or compartments for yourself or your group from the drop-down menu.
• Check the information you provided in the shopping cart and continue to ticket payment.

Registration

Check that you have entered the car's information correctly. If you have entered the incorrect information for the car and it does not fit into the space reserved for it the car space reservation is cancelled. VR is not liable for costs arising from the cancellation. Registration
