Season tickets and Helsinki region commuter trains

Travel inexpensively with a season pass if you travel daily on the same route. Buy a ticket for a specific period (14 - 365 days), and travel as much as you like in the selected zones. The ticket is non-transferable.

• When travelling with a season pass you must prove your identity either with an official identity card or VR identity card. VR identity cards are available from ticket offices and you need one passport photo for the card. You must also prove your identity.
  

Refunds on Helsinki region zone area season tickets

Refunds are paid to Helsinki region zone area season ticket holders if rail services experience major delays or are cancelled. Refunds are paid as follows:

14-30 day season ticket holders are entitled to a 20% refund if even one day of the season ticket's validity falls on the calendar month during which trains that are cancelled or delayed by more than 10 minutes together constitute more than 10% of the zone area's entire service offering.

31-365 day season ticket holders are entitled to a 20% refund of the 30 day season ticket price if even one day of the season ticket's validity falls on the calendar month during which trains that are cancelled or delayed by more than 10 minutes together constitute more than 10% of the zone area's entire service offering

• You get a refund from ticket offices or VR Customer Care when buying the next season ticket.
• The ticket entitling to a refund must be presented.
• The customer service advisor will check whether you are entitled to a refund.
• The refund is paid in zone area refund vouchers which are valid for one year.
