Exceptional arrangements as due to track work
Pieksämäki-Kuopio
4 June-12 August
All trains are replaced by buses due to track work on Pieksämäki–Kuopio line 4 June-12 August, 9–17. Four daily services in each direction are subject to the service alterations, i.e. eight services in total running via Jyväskylä or Kouvola to Savo and back.- Trains running via Jyväskylä are replaced by buses between Jyväskylä and Kuopio. Replacement buses depart from railway stations and the departure stops are indicated by signs.
- The buses have VR logos. Buses run according to a different timetable than trains and travel times may be longer. Thus passengers will not be able to get to some connecting services in Kuopio.
- Regional train tickets are valid on replacement buses. All valid VR long-distance tickets are valid on replacement buses. Only hand luggage may be transported.
The service alterations are due to track repairs made by the Finnish Transport Agency on Pieksämäki-Kuopio line section.
Vantaankoski line
1 June-26 July
Track work will be conducted during summer on Helsinki-Vantaankoski line causing rail service alterations. The first work phase starts on Friday 1 June at 22.00 and is due to be completed on Thursday 26 July at 22.00.On Friday 1 June rail services are operated normally.

Tampere-Pori
4 June-9 August
- Two rail services are replaced from Monday to Thursday by buses: The 10.08 service from Pori to Tampere (regional train H 464) and the 12.07 service from Tampere to Pori (regional train H 465).
- Two buses operate from Pori to Tampere. One of the buses departs at the train's departure time and runs directly to Tampere. The bus service running via intermediate stations (Harjavalta, Kokemäki, Vammala, Karkku, Nokia) departs from Pori and intermediate stations around half an hour before the normal rail service departure time. There are connecting services from the buses at Tampere by train around noon in all directions.
- Two buses depart from Tampere to Pori at 12.15 with one of them running directly to Tampere and the other via intermediate stations. The travel time of the bus service running via intermediate stations is nearly one hour longer than the train's.
- The buses depart from in front of train stations.
- From June train service travel times become longer as departure times from Pori and Tampere are advanced by up to 15 minutes.
- During Pori Jazz all services are operated normally by trains.
13 August-7 December
Track work causes service alterations from mid-August until December so that on Tampere-Pori line six rail services are replaced by buses from Monday to Friday. Track work may bring service alterations also on weekends. Service alterations during autumn and bus timetables will be communicated in more detail at the beginning of August.Tampere railway station
2010-2012
A new pedestrian underpass is being constructed at Tampere railway station. The construction work causes alterations in departure platforms. Information regarding the alterations and other matters affecting rail services are communicated to passengers via station information monitors and announcements.
Savonlinna-Parikkala
12 December 2011–15 June 2012
Railcars on Savonlinna–Parikkala line are replaced by buses between Savonlinna and Pääskylahti.
- Replacement buses depart somewhat earlier than the trains they replace from Savonlinna market square bus stop and arrive at the destination slightly later.
- Some of the replacement buses are local services and some chartered services.
- All replacement buses are marked with a VR logo and accept train tickets.
- Parikkala-Pääskylahti line section timetables remain unchanged.
The service alterations are due to track work in connection with construction of road no. 14 in Savonlinna.
