Live train map instructions
With Live train map you can track trains by train or station. The service uses train GPS tracking. Therefore, the information may differ slightly from the data given by Finnish Transport Agency.
Track by train
You can track the movement of trains in several ways: •In long-distance services by train number (e.g. IC49)•In commuter services by route (e.g. M)
•By train departure and end station (e.g. Helsinki-Joensuu)
•Click on the train symbol on the map
Get the train number from your ticket or timetable, check out departure and end stations also from VR Online Shop. Start train tracking either by clicking on Search by train after starting the application or when the application is running by clicking on the green train symbol at the top of the map.
You can scroll down the window that opens and select a train from the list. The list shows trains currently in operation.
